After a safe arrival, our Year 5 and 6 children found their bearings at Hill House before enjoying their packed lunches.
The sun made an appearance after lunch and with blue skies overhead, they then enjoyed a scavenger hunt.
They are currently unpacking their cases and making their beds!! The plan is then to have a sensory walk before their dinner and to finish off with Kwik Cricket.
After a busy first day, everyone slept well last night and enjoyed a hearty breakfast this morning.
The weather has been kind and dry today which everyone was thankful for as today’s activities have included archery and swimming.
They are all looking forward to a delicious home cooked meal which will hopefully give them lots of energy for the team building events which will be the highlight of this evening’s entertainment.
Another good night’s sleep for everyone again last night. They all enjoyed a full English breakfast this morning and then it was competition time as everyone took part in ‘It’s a Knockout’. This proved to be a wonderful opportunity for many to form new friendship groups and they all demonstrated fabulous team spirit with smiles all round.
Many have tried activities and foods they have never dared try before. Mrs Edmondson has said, “It is a real insight to how wonderful our pupils are”.
After lunch, pool games and craft activities are on the agenda.
Everyone is happy and well. They all had great fun dancing and singing at last night’s karaoke session. Watch out for the next generation of our young superstars!
Today’s activities have been off site and have included high ropes and kayaking Afterwards, they all returned to Hill House for craft activities and an evening bonfire.
Time to return home later today but there are still a few things to enjoy first – including another delicious breakfast, a reflection assembly and Kwik Cricket. Everyone has had a truly wonderful time. Their tired, but very satisfied smiley faces say it all.
