About us

At Seagry School, the Staff, Governors and FoSS join together to deliver the best we can for our children.

Vision Statement

A Christian values led education that provides opportunities to enjoy ‘Life in all its Fullness’ through inspirational staff leading personalised learning, and encouraging aspirational pupils who have respect for themselves, others and their environment.

As a small rural school, we still offer excellent education including Science, French, PE and Music.  We also take the older children swimming during the summer term to ensure all achieve the required 25 metres ability by the time they leave at the end of Year 6.

Pupils are regularly assessed and lessons are planned to meet all children’s needs.  We keep parents updated with progress and send out a weekly newsletter so they are always up to date with what’s been going on and what is about to happen.

Our Year 3, 4 and 5 pupils take part in team building exercises at an activity centre each year. This involves a variety of pursuits such as low ropes, pond dipping and problem solving puzzles.

Our Year 6 pupils spend a week each year at an activity centre such as Hill House or PGL.  Their activities may include canoeing, night walks, team building, high ropes, puzzles to name but a few.  The talent show and bonfire are firm favourites!

We stage all the usual fundraising events (led by our Friends of Seagry School) including a Christmas Fair and are proud hosts of the annual Small Schools Football & Netball Tournament in May.

We hold regular Church Services, including Easter, Harvest and Christmas complete with nativity play and one of our highlights in the whole school production at the end of the summer term.

Our transition programme, both from Pre School and to Secondary School is carefully planned with transition days and visits from teachers so everyone is as prepared as possible for the change.
