Teachers are constantly assessing the progress of each child and planning the next steps in learning.  This information is shared formally with parents through the Annual Report and parent consultation evenings.

The pupils are involved in reviewing their work with the teacher, agreeing targets and contributing to their own Progress Files.  A Foundation Stage Profile of each pupil is made during the Summer Term following entry into full or part-time education.

A further statutory assessment of each pupil’s attainment in the National Curriculum is made at the ages of seven and eleven years.

Additional assessments in Years 3, 4 and 5 using Optional SATs materials also monitors progress in the National Curriculum. Children’s progress in reading and spelling is also assessed termly.

The data for the SATs taken each year in May is published the following December.  The small number of pupils in our 2018/19 Year 6 cohort means that we are unable to publish KS2 progress from KS1 to KS2, however we are able to publish the actual scores.  Please note that due to the small cohort size, each pupil is worth 17% when interpreting the data.
