We have introduced a program to all year groups at school called myHappymind. myHappymind is all based around helping children to understand how their brain works and to support them in developing positive skills and habits to be their very best selves!
myHappymind is delivered by class teachers through a series of interactive lessons and then the children apply these learnings throughout the day. To further embed this learning and ensure that you are able to engage in these topics with your child, myHappymind has developed a set of resources for parents. These resources can be accessed online on your computer, or through an app on your phone. The resources allow children to continue to practise some of the habits they have developed at school, such as happy breathing, for you to learn more about what they are learning in the program. Also included are activities for you to do together at home, to complement the in-school lessons.
We really encourage you to make use of this free content so that you can support your child in getting the best out of the curriculum. If you have any questions about the curriculum, please contact your class teacher.
We are proud to announce that we are a myHappymind Bronze Accredited school!
This means that as a school we consider the mental health and wellbeing of our children as one of our top priorities. We have created a whole school culture that helps build our children's resilience, confidence and self esteem as well as teaching them how to self regulate in those stressful times.
This Accreditation badge has been awarded thanks to all the effort our staff, children, Academy Council Members and parents have put in to bring the lessons of myHappymind to life all around our school!

In our commitment to nurturing the well-being of our children, we recognise the paramount importance of taking their mental health seriously. At our school, we have developed a comprehensive five-step strategy that spans from general preventative support, benefiting all, to specialised individual support. We firmly believe that fostering emotional well-being from an early age not only equips children with essential life skills but also paves the way for their holistic development. By embracing this strategy, we ensure that every child in our care is provided with the necessary tools and support to flourish emotionally and academically.
Our admin team, Mrs Ross and Mrs Brooks, are happy to answer any questions. Please contact them via the admin email.
